Initially, Gavin lives with his parents, Pam and Mick , and spends most of his time with his best friend, Smithy. Stacey lives with her widowed mother, Gwen , and is frequently visited by her uncle, Bryn , who lives across the road, and by her best friend Nessa. The series follows the key moments in their relationship: The characters of Gavin and Stacey provide the emotional core of the story. The show focuses on the situations that arise when their relationship brings their two differing families together. As a result, episodes often focus on the key events in life that bring wider families and close friends together such as weddings, christenings, birthday parties and Christmases. However, the show also presents the families interacting in deliberately non-dramatic situations, such as a visit to the beach and nights out. A significant second storyline follows the contrasting relationship between Smithy and Nessa. Despite their dislike for each other, they have several one-night stands, leading to Nessa becoming pregnant and having their baby. Whilst Gavin and Stacey are the clear main characters, towards the end of the show’s run, the dramatic emphasis switches slightly from them, as they resolve their distance issues, to Smithy and Nessa, as Nessa becomes engaged to another man.

Email Before Grant William Robicheaux was accused of rape, he charmed audiences on a reality TV dating show, lamenting how difficult it was for a busy surgeon like him to meet the right woman. Fast-forward four years, and California authorities say he and his current girlfriend used their good looks and charm to drug and rape two women. Robicheaux, 38, and Cerissa Laura Riley, 31, are charged with rape by use of drugs, oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, assault with intent to commit sexual offense, and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Share shares Despite their stark differences in upbringing, the couple do have one very poignant experience in common – both lost their fathers to suicide. The relationship between Kate and Professor Green, who is establishing himself as a presenter of documentaries, came to light when a source told a tabloid newspaper this week: They’re very keen to keep it under wraps and insist they are only friends so they avoid any public scrutiny until they are certain it’s more than just a fleeting romance.
According to one impeccably placed source: Let’s just say it is in character. They split last year coincided with Kate’s company, Roundtable Records also folding The family friend told me this week: Kate is not under any obligation to share the finer details of her private life with anyone, especially her family. They’ve been seeing each other and she would very much like to carry on. She is always looking for a cause and very much identifies with the poor, downtrodden and disenfranchised.
So a man like this fits the bill perfectly. He is the real deal: That is catnip to Kate. It’s hardly surprising she’s drawn to the guy. Professor Green has moved seamlessly between the music industry, where he has had Number One hits with the likes of Lily Allen, to TV, where he has a burgeoning reputation.

The rest of the UK – today more or less Ever since I began this project I’ve had people emailing me asking me to include all the other studios around the UK. Well, sorry, but I am trying to fit work, home and some sort of social life into my time. However, tucked away at the end of my ‘history of old ITV studios in London’ page was a section that began as a summary of what happened to the old ITV studios around the rest of the country. It then expanded a bit to include a few other studios so I decided it was probably about time it was given its own page.
Incidentally – I’m only including TV production studios that make a variety of programmes for network transmission on UK channels – not those built for a specific soap eg Doctors or regional news studios. I’m also covering 4-waller film studios making TV drama. I’m simply summarising here what we have now and have had for the past four or five years in the UK. If you want to create your own history of regional studios – feel free and I’ll happily give your site a link!

The new dating show “Making Love” has made waves at MIPCOM, the world’s biggest television and entertainment market More Once upon a time in a more coy era people made an effort to get to know each other — perhaps learning each other’s names — before hopping into bed together. But for the swipe-right generation raised on dating apps like Tinder that is so last century, television executives believe. A new dating show is helping time-pressed millennials save on the unnecessary preliminaries by cutting straight to the chase.
Its French producers WeMake said it has brought together “scientifically-matched singles” to ask the essential question, “Could making love make you fall in love? Contestants can then hurry into the bathroom to debrief the audience on just how their new partner performed.

Having hit its best viewership numbers ever in with double-digit growth, the U. She also talked about how Orphan Black will end like Mad Men did, and what role fans will play in that and the selection of a new lead on Doctor Who. You guys sit as a mid-Atlantic hybrid in many ways but have bucked the trend with some very strong growth in the last year.
What do you attribute that to? The DNA of that show is interesting — quite British underlying material, but told from the storytelling perspective in an exciting and maybe somewhat American-like, amped-up way — is a really cool fusion of what I think is very exciting about this brand and this business. First, I think we have great brand strength, and part of our unique ability is that BBCA was not set up to be a sort of super niche network.
In that way that probably most, if not all, of our ad supported U.

Strictly Come Dancing – Celebs: Images today from the first two episodes in the latest series of Doctor Who, with the new Doctor, Peter Capaldi. Still with the very, very sexy Jenna Coleman though. I particularly liked the outfit Jenna was wearing at the start and end of the first of these two episodes. The cute little tartan skirt. Funnily enough the exact same outfit she wore for the Christmas episode. Obviously done for continuity to show there was no time delay between then and now.
She is not the only highlight though. There are a couple of very nice images of Catrin Stewart. Most notably some very pretty cleavage shots. So what do we think of the new Doctor? He brings the right amount of gravitas and seems to fit the role like a glove. Curious his persona has noted he is now over 2, years old.

The Daemons Plot The Master poses as the new vicar in the rural community of Devil’s End, just as an archaeologist begins work on opening an ancient barrow near the village. Despite the Doctor’s attempts to stop the work, a Daemon named Azal is released from dormancy within the barrow. A member of an ancient alien race who guided nascent human life on Earth, Azal has remained behind to judge humanity’s worthiness.
But the Master will stop at nothing to seize Azal’s tremendous power. In June , when he had to compose an audition piece for the roles of Jo Grant and Mike Yates, Letts drew on this fascination, devising a scene in which Jo and Mike are confronted by the Devil in a church. Some time thereafter, Letts decided that he should try his hand at writing a Doctor Who adventure himself to see what it would be like to work under his own restrictions. Letts had some writing experience already, including some Doctor Who storylines which had been rejected by then-story editor Gerry Davis in late Although Letts wanted to incorporate his interest in the occult into his scripts, he was initially reluctant, fearing that this would run contrary to Doctor Who’s traditionally rational standpoint.
However, script editor Terrance Dicks encouraged Letts to expand upon his audition piece, observing that an element of his story could be the explanation of magic in scientific terms. Terrance Dicks encouraged Barry Letts to expand his audition script into a full story Letts ultimately agreed, but decided that he should recruit a more experienced cowriter to join him on the project, which would serve as a back-up final serial in case of scripting problems on Doctor Who’s eighth season.
He was able to secure the involvement of Robert Sloman, a former actor in repertory theatre who had written for stage and radio. The duo found further inspiration in the work Chariots Of The Gods by Erich von Daniken, a text which proposed that aliens had visited Earth before the rise of man. This led to the notion of the devil-like alien which was first called a Damon, then a Demon dwelling within a burial mound. This was done in part to avert concerns by the Writer’s Guild about a producer writing for his own show, and also because Sloman wanted to avoid the appearance of the dissolution of a writing partnership in which he was then involved.
